I have a 2011 Mercedes E550 coupe. Just installed a new battery and new starter. My husband did the install. Went to start it and loud grinding sound was all I got. Husband said he put the bolts on too tight.. Is that sound an indication of this or possibly something else?
So I have a very general (but could be) tricky question, my car is 2019 S63 AMG (M178):
Is it possible to find out IF somebody switched the car engine on/off on a specific hour, like a month ago or so? For how long it was on, how many RPMs it did, how many km/ph it drove?
Is all the info possible to be retrieved using Xentry? The software that all the Merc dealers use around the world. If it's not possible, please tell.
My 3Series is reporting, every time I start the car, that the battery has "increased discharge". I had it in to a garage for an unrelated issue and spoke about it and the mechanic said the battery needs replacing. They then said it was a special battery at £250. I checked on Halfords website, typing in the VRN, and they offer two at closer to £120. My question is whether the cheaper battery would be sufficient or if the pricier one is a requisite for this type of BMW?
Anyone know? Thank you
My battery died, I'm trying to replace it, but at the same time passenger seat and window stopped working. I can't move the seat all the way forward to get access for the battery. Any suggestions?
Two days ago, acceleration became weak/bad. RPM needle running up during shifting and accelerating slow even with the peddle down. After one or two restarts, improves then back to same situation. Transmission fluid? Shocked to read stick to check fluid is something I need to purchase first. Can I get that in an Auto Zone? Guys, I'm female, 50 years old, and a widow, so be gentle. Also read could be fuel filter and looks easy enough to change.
Hi Everyone, My apologies in advance if I am being redundant on this topic. I have a 2006 CLK 350 Conv with 86k miles clean car I purchased about 6 months ago from first owner. When I purchased the car the owner stated when he changed the batteries on the FOB the keyless go and push start stopped working. I find it hard to believe since both keys dont work(keyless go and push start function ).
