I've been a bit of a fool, or maybe a lot of a fool.
My E320 has an undiagnosed electrical fault which drains the battery if it is left unused for around 10 days or more, so I need to recharge it after holidays etc.
Recently, I recharged it but had the charger set to 24v not 12v. I saw the lights flash on and off and disconnected it. Since then I can no longer charge the battery and of course it is still flat so I cannot start the car.
Hi, I took my car in to get the maps updated and they said they couldn't do it - which is fine, but since then the scrollwheel has stopped working for the bluetooth audio. Initially the bluetooth audio didn't work at all, but I got into the admin panel (by holding hang up, # and 1 for three seconds) and turned it on.
I phoned the people that did(n't do) the work and the conversation went like this:
Them: "We didn't reset or change anything, because we couldn't get into the system"
Me: "but it was working, and then it stopped working after you had it"
Them: "We definitely didn't reset or change anything, because we couldn't get into the system"
Anyone know how to get this working? Other symptoms are that bt audio says it's not connected although it's working. I'm getting no track listings, and I said the command wheel doesn't work.
I have a mercedes clk 320 with 5spd auto trans (722.6) car has drove 140000 km. Recently it started to make a groaning noise from the transmision at low rpm (under 2000 rpm). If I give it gas there is no noise but it tends no mishift in 3.4.5 gears in d mode not so much if I change manualy. There are no code faults I have used my scanner. I have changed 13 pin plug flushed box and changed oil and filter there did not apear to be any water in the oil I have changed the radiator to be on the safe side.
I struck a rodent on highway last week and wheel shroud was torn off but no visible damage under vehicle, radiator, lines, etc., but ever since car overheats. I replaced thermostat, fixed bad heater hoses, checked coolant lines. No leaks. No damage. Filled with coolant. Still overheats. Coolant in resevour is boiling hot but seems to circulate. What else could cause this overheating issue. No check engine light.
Key fob on 2006 c230 won"t unlock car.....I ALSO had new window tint this week!!....the lock and unlock buttons on front dash DO lock all (except drivers).....would that imply that the central lock circuit and/or antenae module, and fuses are ok??
When I put my 2012 Mercedes SLK 250 in a hard turn on dry pavement, the ESP light came on, the other "ESP off" light came on and the screen said ESP inoperable - See user manual. Also the car went into "limp mode" only being able to drive at 20mph or less. I stopped the car, turned it off, then back on and it reset. Is there a malfunction issue with the ESP or is this normal, because the system was overloaded?
Hi! I’m new here & not knowledgeable at all. If you have any advice, please put it in simple terms so I will understand :)
I have a 2013 Mercedes C250. I started noticing that my car was seemingly flooding from the floorboards. Supposedly there was a clog in my rear sunroof drains. The drains were unclogged and I shop vac’ed my carpets for hours to take care of the water. My audio started going in & out around the same time as I noticed the water. Audio then stopped working completely. My CarMax warranty doesn’t cover “audio that’s damaged due to water.” My question is: could the leak from the rear sunroof drains cause audio damage? After CarMax claimed the audio was from water damage(couldn’t prove it), I took it to my normal shop. They said that all of my wiring is fine, no damage. It’s the radio & amp. I am going to try to get CarMax to cover the cost of the repair. If they refuse, and I decide to get an after market radio, where should I look? It seems that there is a lot that goes into choosing an after market radio and I have no idea where to start.
